Tasha                                                                     09/06/18

Well, I am 2 years old now and it's past time to check in with you.  My new parents are almost fully trained, but they are stubborn and it's been a struggle at times.  But overall, my training of them continues to go well.  They have given my lots of toys to chew on (some of which I chewed up completely, including a few of my pillows).  I used to like to put their fingers and toes in my mouth, but I've gotten kind of tired of that.  I have them take me for long walks and then I used to make them sit down and hold me in their lap.  Now, I have gotten them trained to let me have the chair all to myself.  Like I said, they are adapting to their training very well.  About the only negative thing is that I tried to have them let me wander in the woods behind my new house, and I was having fun making them come and get me, but would you believe it, they put up a fence so I couldn’t run off.  I made sure they gave me a real big space to run and play though.  I have gotten a lot bigger.  I weighed 13 pounds when they picked me up October 27, 2016 and now I weigh 53 pounds.   My naps in their laps have tapered off and now I sit next to them in "our" chair and lean real hard on them. I overheard them talking about an obedience class many months ago.  I thought sure that class is for them and not me.  I was wrong, but I learned a lot about how to get them to throw a ball so I can run and get it over and over again.  And also how to do simple things to get them to give me treats.  I also like to shove toys under their chair and then they have to get down on the floor to get my toy out from under it so I can play with it again.  I am hopeful that in another year they will be fully trained. One thing I know for sure, I've gotten them to love me a lot.

I really like my home here in Kentucky.  I like the woods and hills.  Lots of space to run around.  And, I like being out on the lake,  I'm a good swimmer. I also like to ride in the car and my parents take me with them often.  I'm not modest.  My parents think I am a wonderful, loveable, and beautiful member of their family.  And I kind of like them too.  Thank you for hooking them up with me.

"Hi Dani,
I just want you to know that Mia is a joy! to all. She's been sleeping thru the night 4 days after bringing her home, sits, comes when you call her, 'stay' still working on, lays down when told and potty training  has been going very well.
Thank you  for your dedication and excellence  with the Vizsla breed."

Hey Kent, have to tell you.... Ginger has been the best puppy I could have ever imagined.  She is every good thing I have ever read about the breed.  The kids love her to pieces and I can't believe how fast she picks up on the regular obedience.  We took her out to Pioneers Park for Abby's cross country meet and probably a hundred people asked where we got her.☺ hopefully her littermates are all doing just as well.

Christmas letter from DUNCAN in North Dakota

Picture
Dear Andersens

From the subject, you may remember me as Sage's Blue collared pup from her February 2014 Litter.  I ended up going to live in Fargo, ND.  It's a little cold up here during winter, but I really don't care about that.  Even in November when it was 26 below, I didn't mind and laid down in the back yard to chew on my wood log I love.

I travel with my Dad Jared a lot.  We go to western ND to the oil field and have a great time.  We walk CRP (Picture) for exercise, and do training in the hallways of our hotels at night.  The front desk staff love me and give me treats every time we check in and out.  I very much prefer to go with ANYWHERE than to be left at home.

In Sept. I went to boot camp.  I spent 2 weeks hunting everyday.  I LOVED IT!!  So much so, that is where I go when my parents travel.  I have a great nose and a prey drive that is the envy of many of the other dogs at Camp.  Dad brags about my hunting skills.  I am also quite the swimmer from our weekends at the lake this summer.

On the winter weekends, when UND has hockey at home, we load up and go 75 miles north to cheer on our favorite team.  I just love to go anyplace with the growing family.  They tell me it is growing and mom has twin boys coming in March.  They seem pretty excited.  I guess multiples run in my people family too!

Anyway, Thanks so much for letting these people take me home.  They love me tons and I don't think there is anything they could do to spoil me more, except let me on the furniture.  I really hope you had a fantastic Christmas and hope all is great in Lincoln.  Duncan

Thank you for Duncan, we love him so much.  He has so much personality and really is every bit a sporting dog.  We wanted a house dog with a chance to hunt but he really has the field ability.  He is currently 52 lbs at 10 months with very little fat on him. I think he will probably be just short of 60 lbs.  He runs between 3-5 miles a day and has plenty left in the tank.  He is INCREDILBLY smart.  He will remember where toys were when we leave and come home 6 days later.  He also catches on to tricks and training very quickly. We love him so much and cannot thank you enough for going through the process with us.

Best of luck to you and your family with the real estate ventures and growing Family of your own.

Happy Holidays!!
The Medhus'

PS If you ever need a referral letter, we are certainly willing.

Tillie - 12-27-2014

Below is Tillie...she met her surprised family after Christmas.  The kids had hoped for a puppy for Christmas but were disappointed...until the 27th when they came to our house to visit.  Here's what the family wrote...
Her first car ride wore her out!  The kids named her Tilie.  She seems to be doing well. She misses her mom and siblings. Lucy (their adult Vizsla) loves her. We love her as well.   She is adjusting.  Thanks again for a great pup!

This is a hoot! Annie and Picky Picky adore each other! Listen for the cat's purr!! Annie is doing fantastic!! Incredible addition to our family!

She is truly our velcro vizsla! I will send a few more pics!

K&L Vizslas get a 5+++. We have purchased 3 beautiful dogs from them. Their line produces excellent hunters as well as loving couch potatoes. Kent and Lisa are very informative and extremely easy to work with no matter what part of the country you live in. We wouldn't go anywhere other than K&L.

Kent and Lisa actually get a 6+.. The were great to work with and I have had 2 Vizsla's from them and both were great family home dogs and machines in the field. Both my Brother and Sister also got Vizslas from other breeders and they dont even compare to this breeder and the line that Kent and Lisa have.
